WHAT IS A NUTRITION COACH?​
​Someone who is committed to a client, forms a relationship with that person and uses information and science to formulate a customized plan to help that person achieve their goal. This can be a goal of weight loss, having more energy and feeling better, working towards a fitness goal wether recreationally or professionally, dealing with GI issues that need diet to feel better, helping with diet to lower blood pressure or blood sugar, helping to formulate healthy eating habits wether single or a family. We cannot diagnose or treat but can work with you to achieve goals and learn about a well balanced healthy lifestyle.
HOW DOES THE CONSULT/MONTHLY COMMITMENT WORK?
I will have an initial consult with you to determine your goals and ask questions about your current lifestyle. Depending on your goal I'll formulate a plan for you and we'll talk about it going forward. It'll require accountability and forming habits. I'll reach out to you every week and be available for questions. If I feel there is something out of my scope of practice I will refer you to the appropriate medical people.
WHY THE MINIMUM 3 MONTH COMMITMENT?
In order to effectively form new habits and work on skills needed 3 months is the recommended time to learn these new habits, and to be successful for life
WHAT TRAINING DO YOU HAVE?
I was an Advanced Care Paramedic before kids so have a background in Anatomy & Physiology as well as pathophysiology courses. I am a certified Nutrition Coach through Precision Nutrition. Have a course in Coaching Athletes.
